Novato is our home town. Our office sits on Novato Boulevard, and our team drives the same roads you do, from Grant Avenue downtown to the lanes out past Pleasant Valley. It is the largest city in Marin by area, and it holds a little of everything: an old walkable downtown, big residential neighborhoods, a light industrial park and a small airport.
The terrain is oak hills and open valleys. Mount Burdell stands over the north end of town, Big Rock Ridge rises to the southwest, and the east side flattens into marsh, levees and San Pablo Bay. “I signed up for WebPerception to have backup internet service for occasions when my main super high speed fiber ISP goes out (which is... shockingly often). As a backup ISP, I didn't need anything blazing fast from WebPerception, but a few dozen Mbit/sec would be nice to be able to continue to get work done when my main ISP is out. WebPerception got me set up in short order with a directional antenna/small dish on my roof, and my router has flipped over to their service a few times already and I've not noticed more than a brief blip. It's also nice, too, that their medium is wireless rather than coax or fiber, so it's less susceptible to catastrophes like tree branches falling or cars crashing into poles, taking down wired service. Great service at a reasonable price!”

Installation

We turn the service up, test it at the antenna, and set up WiFi inside. Long single-story ranch homes and two-story San Marin houses sometimes want a second access point, which we place while we are there.

Novato sits mostly outside the coastal fog belt that covers southern Marin, so fog is rarely a factor here. Rain and fog do not knock out a properly aligned link. Trees growing into the path over the years are the more common issue, and we can re-aim or raise the antenna if that happens.

We can send a photo and a spec sheet for your HOA before the install. Where a roof mount is not allowed, a fascia or wall mount often does the same job.
Yes, that comes up in Bel Marin Keys and on the larger west-side lots. We can run a wired link or a short wireless hop from the house to a dock, barn or workshop and put WiFi there. Mention it at the survey and we fold it into the job.
