The Right View
Most camera problems are not camera problems. The footage exists, but the camera was aimed at the top of someone's head, the night image is a white blur from a porch light, the recorder filled up last week, or the WiFi camera at the gate dropped off the network again. A box of cameras from a warehouse store solves none of that.
We plan camera systems around your property, your network, and the moments you need to understand: entries, gates, deliveries, shared spaces, and after-hours activity. Then we install the cameras, the cabling, and the recording, set up the phone app, and stay available afterward. You get a simple view. Behind it, the cameras, storage, network, and support are planned together.
What We Help With
Camera, placement, night performance, detection, storage, viewing, and the network. Get one wrong and the others matter less.
A camera count is the wrong place to start. We start with the moments you want to be able to answer: who came through the gate, what happened at the counter, whether the delivery arrived, what is going on in the parking area after close. Then we work out how few cameras, aimed well, cover those moments.
Most systems we install come with a phone app for live view, playback, and clips. We set up secure remote access so you can check the gate from the couch or from out of town. The app depends on the internet connection and power at your property, so we plan for that too.
Dome, bullet, or turret. Wide lens or long lens. Under an eave, on a pole, or inside by the door. Each choice changes what you can see. We choose the camera for the spot and mount it where it sees faces and plates at a usable angle, out of easy reach, and away from sun glare and spider webs where we can.
Most outdoor cameras switch to infrared at night and record in black and white. Some add a small built-in light for color at night. Where the view matters after dark, we pick the camera for it and avoid aiming at bright lights, reflective walls, or shrubs that bounce the infrared back.
Newer cameras and recorders can tell a person or a vehicle from a swaying branch, which cuts down on nuisance alerts. What is available depends on the equipment you choose. We set the zones and sensitivity so the alerts you get are worth looking at.
Video can record to a recorder at your property, to storage inside the camera, or to a cloud service from the manufacturer, and some systems combine them. How far back you can look depends on the number of cameras, the resolution, whether you record continuously or on motion, and the size of the storage. We size it around how much history you want to keep.
Where we can, we run a wired connection to each camera. One Ethernet cable carries both power and video (power over Ethernet), so there is no separate power supply to fail and no WiFi to drop. WiFi cameras have their place, but they depend on WiFi coverage at the mounting spot and share the airtime with everything else in the building.
We also keep the cameras on their own part of the network, apart from guest WiFi and office computers, and we check that the internet connection has the upload capacity for remote viewing. Cameras are a network project as much as a camera project, and we treat them that way.
A gate at the end of a long driveway, a water tank on the hill, a barn across the field. Trenching cable that far is often not practical. A small solar panel and battery can power the camera, and a point-to-point wireless link carries the video back to the main network.
Whether it works depends on line of sight, sun exposure, and how much the camera needs to record. We survey those spots the same way we survey a rooftop.

Cameras are good at one thing: showing you what happened, and letting you check on the property from wherever you are. We would rather be clear about the edges of that up front than have you find them later.

No. We are not a security monitoring service. We design, install, and support the system, and you and the people you choose have access to the video. If you want a monitored alarm service, that is a separate company, and we can make sure the network supports it.
Often, yes. Where there is no power or cabling, a camera can run on a small solar panel and battery with a wireless link back to the main network. No. We install camera systems on properties served by other internet providers. Recording at your property works without depending on the internet connection at all. Remote viewing and alerts on your phone do use the connection, so we will check that it is up to the job as part of the site survey.
